Iran allocates funds to solve water problems in some provinces

Iran's Ministry of Energy is to assign funds worth $761 million for provinces, where cities are having issues with water, especially during summer, said Iran's Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian, Trend reports via Tasnim News Agency.

"The credit has been divided equally between provinces to implement specified projects in the water sector," said Ardakanian.

"Most of these projects are currently being implemented, but they need more funds to be completed," he said.

"These financial resources would accelerate the progress. The water outage in the current Iranian year (started March 21,2021) mostly depends on water resources, so there should be sufficient water," said the minister.

Speaking of the projects, the minister named installing a water network, a water treatment plant, construction of reservoirs, among them.
