Tajikistan recorded an increase in volume of investments in fixed assets from January through July 2022, Trend reports citing the avesta.tj.
According to statistics, in seven months of this year, more than 7.4 billion somoni ($725.4 million) were invested in Tajikistan's fixed assets, which is an increase of 3.7 percent compared to the same period of last year.
During this period, over 3.8 billion somoni ($372.5 million) or 51.2 percent of the total volume of investments were disbursed for the country's industrial facilities.
For the construction of energy facilities, a total of 2.2 billion somoni ($224 million) was disbursed from January through July 2022, which is an increase of 8.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Meanwhile, investments in Tajikistan's transport and communications sectors also increased by 20.1 percent compared to the same period of 2021 - up to 956 million somoni ($93.7 million).
