The total portfolio of bank loans in Uzbekistan amounted to 346.4 trillion soums ($31.7 billion) from January through July 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.
This indicator increased by 14.4 percent compared to the same period last year (302.7 trillion soums or $27.7 billion).
During this period, the loan portfolio of state-owned banks amounted to 290.6 trillion soums ($26.6 billion), and private banks – 55.7 trillion soums ($5.1 billion).
The volume of non-performing loans (NPL) for the corresponding period amounted to 16.9 trillion soums ($1.5 billion).
