Uzbekistan's grape exports significantly increase

The export of grapes is rapidly increasing in Uzbekistan,Trend reports via the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the ministry, as of September 1 this year, 65,500 tons of grapes were exported from Uzbekistan, with a total value of $56.3 million, and 8,100 tons of raisins were exported, with a total value of $4.2 million.

These export figures grew by 1.8 times compared to the same period last year.

In 2022, the grapes were exported to 14 countries, including Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Latvia, the United Arab Emirates, Estonia and others.

According to forecasts, 1.8 million tons of grapes are expected to be harvested this year, which is 122,000 tons more than last year.
