The National Development Fund of Iran is investing in energy sector of Ivory Coast to expand its economic ties, said head of National Development Fund Mehdi Ghazanfari, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The National Development Fund (NDF) is ready to support Iranian companies to invest in Ivory Coast's energy sector, he said in a joint meeting with Ivory Coast ambassador in Iran Ouattara Tamakolo.
Ghazanfari underlined the NDF is interested to invest in low risk ventures in African countries that could be facilitated via unions in these countries.
For his part the Ivory Coast ambassador acknowledged the ties between the two countries and the necessity to promote economic relations.
The upcoming Iran- Ivory Coast joint economic commission's meeting in Abidjan in October 2022 could boost the economic ties and a delegation from the National Development Fund of Iran is to visit Ivory Coast to review investment opportunities there.
