Iran shares data on non-oil exports from North Khorasan Province

In general, about 145,000 tons of non-oil products worth $92.7 million were exported from Iran’s North Khorasan Province (north-eastern Iran), during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2022), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of North Khorasan Province Hossein Hajibegloo told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to him, the province’s non-oil exports increased by 87.3 percent in value, while decreased by 7.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The chairman added that the main exported goods were various petrochemical products, steel, aluminum, cement, etc.

“The mentioned goods were exported to Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Germany, China, Türkiye, Pakistan, Poland, Syria, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Belgium, Kuwait, Austria and Oman,” he said.

Hajibegloo also pointed out that about 14,400 tons of goods worth $39 million were imported to the province in 5 months, which is an increase of 143 percent in value and 97.2 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The official noted that various scales, air conditioners and spare parts, electrical equipment and electric motors, pumps, industrial compressors, animal feed, etc. were main imported goods.

The goods were mainly imported from China, Pakistan, France, Brazil, India, Oman, Germany, Türkiye, the UAE, South Korea and Austria, he added.
