Iran sees increase in exports from its West Azerbaijan Province

Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province exported 2.5 billion tons of commodities during the four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022), Commercial and Trade Development Deputy at the Mining and Trade Organization in West Azerbaijan Province of Iran Mohammad Dehghan told Trend.

A total of 2.5 billion tons of commodities valued at $778 million have been exported, he said adding that the figures indicate a 309-percent increase in value and 419-percent in volume, compared to the same time last year (started March 21,2021).

The main export destinations during this period were Turkiye, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Georgia and Azerbaijan, he noted.

According to the official, the province exported 2 billion tons of goods valued $643 million to Turkey, and 417 million tons of commodities valued at $114 million to Iraq.
