Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Golestan Province (north-eastern Iran) increased by 23 percent in value and 8 percent in volume, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Golestan Province Customs Office Ebrahim Hosseini said, Trend reports, citing the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The director general noted that more than 301,000 tons of non-oil products worth $182 million were exported from Golestan Province in 10 months.
Hosseini added that the exported goods were mainly polystyrene, cheese, dates, iodine, various profiles, raisins, copper wire, tomato paste and etc. The mentioned products were exported to various countries, including Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Romania, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Russia and Pakistan.
In general, Iran exported more than 103 million tons of non-oil products worth $45.3 billion within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through January 20, 2023). This is an increase of 2.9 percent in value and 17 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
