Iran can export gas to Europe in winter by creating joint consortium with countries that are connected to Europe, secretary general of Federation of Iranian Energy Export Industries and Related Industries Hamidreza Salehi told Trend.
Iran can form consortium with countries that are on the route to Europe for example a consortium between Iran, Türkiye and Europe, he noted.
Iran has the proper infrastructure to export gas to Europe via Türkiye’s pipeline, he said, adding that another option for Iran is to export gas via Azerbaijan’s gas pipeline to the eastern European countries.
Iran has the estimated capacity to export about 80 to 100 million cubic meters gas per day to Europe, he indicated.
He pointed out that, Türkiye’s gas pipeline has the capacity to transfer 60 million cubic meters gas per day that could transfer gas from Iran.
