Embassy of Uzbekistan to be opened in Stockholm

The first diplomat of the new embassy of Uzbekistan in Sweden arrived in Stockholm, UzA reports.

Nodir Ganiyev, appointed to the post of Advisor to the diplomatic mission, will act as Charge d'Affaires of Uzbekistan in Sweden.

He was born in Fergana. He is 50 years old. In 1993, he graduated from Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan). He is a philologist-orientalist. Since 1994, he has held various positions in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to leaving for Sweden, N. Ganiyev worked as the Head of Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Cooperation with European Countries and EU institutions.

Nodir Ganiyev speaks English, Arabic, Russian and French.

The diplomatic representation of Uzbekistan in Stockholm will become the 36th Embassy of Uzbekistan abroad.
