Last night, 3 people died and 816 were injured as a result of an earthquake that occurred in the Khoy region in northwestern Iran.
According to Trend, this was stated to journalists by the governor of the Iranian province of Western Azerbaijan, Mohammad Sadegh Motameden.
According to Motameden, 60 wounded are being treated in hospitals of the Khoy region, and 64 - in hospitals of the Salmas region.
A 5.9-magnitude earthquake has shaken Iran. The epicenter of the quake was located 8 km southwest of the city of Khoy. The seismic center was located at a depth of 15 km.
