The volume of oil products loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Imam Khomeini port in Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran), amounted to about 6.14 million tons, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), Director-General of Ports and Maritime Department in Khuzestan Province Behrouz Aghaei said, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
In addition, more than 8.78 million tons of non-oil products were loaded and unloaded at Imam Khomeini port in 4 months, Aghaei said.
The official added that in total, about 15 million tons of products were loaded and unloaded in the port during 4 months.
According to him, 82 ships carrying essential products, including grain, cooking oil, agricultural feed docked at Imam Khomeini port in 4 months and about 5.14 million tons of essential products were unloaded at the port.
Aghaei also pointed out that 4.74 million tons of essential products were sent to various provinces of the country from this port.
The director general noted that currently, 2.4 million tons of essential products are stored in the warehouses of Imam Khomeini port.
