Ukraine’s Defense Ministry will purchase 26,460 tons of jet fuel via two tenders, Trend reports with reference to Ukrainian media.
The first batch of 15,960 tons will be purchased in five lots with 2,700-3,400 tons for each. The second batch of 10,500 tons will be bought in four lots in the amount of 2,100-3,400 tons each.
The fuel shall be delivered within 30-45 calendar days after signing the contract.
The maximum price is set at UAH 24,532 per ton.
In 2020, the Ministry of Defense signed 58 contracts to purchase 199,000 tons of fuel, which is 41 percent more than 141,700 tons in 2019.
Ukraine depends on imports for around 83 percent of its oil consumption, 33 percent of its natural gas and 50 percent of its coal. Belarus is Ukraine’s main supplier of refined products.
