Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2022 increased coal imports from Kazakhstan by 46.9 percent compared to the same period of last year ($6.6 million) - up to $9.7 million, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, Kyrgyzstan's imports from Kazakhstan consisted of the following over the period from January through June of this year:
- petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons - $10.8 million;
- oil and oil products in the amount of $5.7 million;
- petroleum coke worth $1.6 million;
- gasoline worth $1.4 million.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period imported goods from Kazakhstan in the amount of $329.3 million, which is an increase of 13.4 percent compared to the corresponding period last year ($290.3 million).
