Azerbaijan exported 32,083 tons of chemical products worth $13.1 million from January through April 2021, Trend reports on May 27 with reference to the statistics report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
In accordance with the data, 11,285 tons of nitrogen fertilizers worth $1.9 million were exported during the reporting period.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to about $9.9 billion from January through April 2021, which is by 2.1 percent more than in the same period of 2020.
Some $6.4 billion accounted for export in the structure of foreign trade turnover from January through April 2021, which is by 0.9 percent more than from January through April 2020. The share of export amounted to 64.33 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.
Azerbaijan's import exceeded $3.5 billion from January through April 2021, decreasing by 4.1 percent compared to the same period of 2020. The share of import in foreign trade turnover amounted to 35.67 percent.
The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis decreased by three percent, remaining positive, and amounted to $2.8 billion.
