Iran shuts down exports to Iraq on three mutual borders

Iran has shut down exports of its goods on three mutual borders with Iraq, spokesperson of Iran`s Customs Administration Seyed Rouhollah Latifi told Trend.

"Due to the limited capacity of Iraqi customs for handling commercial trucks and visitors at the same time, the export of goods from the 3 borders of Mehran, Shalamcheh, and Chazaba borders is stopped until September 17," he explained.

“The rest of Iran-Iraq joint borders are responsible for the exchange of goods between the two countries,” said the official.

He pointed to Parvizkhan, Somar, Shushmi, Sheikh Saleh, and Khorramshahr sea borders as the alternative common borders with Iraq by September 17.
