Iran postpones car exports

The export plan of Iranian automakers to begin next Iranian year (starts on March 21, 2023) Irans Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Seyed Reza Fatemi-Amin announced, Trend reports citing Mehr.

Iran sets a 4-year plan for its car industry, based on which the car exports will start by the beginning of the next Iranian year, said the Minister.

Fatemi-Amin added that the total export of cars would be less than 20,000 vehicles by the end of the current Iranian year.

The Ministry of Industry has focused on boosting Iran's embattled automotive sector. According to statistics, vehicle production in Iran has increased by 279 percent since the beginning of the year. Car Production in Iran averaged 334,463 Units, reaching an all-time high of 88,312 Units in the last Iranian year.

According to the Minister, Irans incomplete cars reached 41,000 vehicles in the current year, compared to 291,000 unfinished cars last year.
