Cargoes from Africa reoriented to the Trans Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM) route through Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, Trend reports via JSC KTZ Express, the subsidiary company "Kazakhstan Railways".
As reported, the JSC KTZ Express reoriented cargo of North-East Africa to the TMTM, which runs through Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan.
"The cargo was sent from the port of Alexandria (Egypt) by sea to the port of Poti (Georgia), then by TMTM, it arrived in Kostanay (Kazakhstan). The delivery time was 25 days," the JSC said.
Let's remind those earlier cargoes from Africa were delivered through Russian ports. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the management and specialists of KTZ Express JSC, competitive cost, and high-quality service, the KTZE West branch reoriented the client to the TMTM route (Middle Corridor), which runs through Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
The new achievement of KTZ Express JSC has opened up wide opportunities for increasing freight traffic on the international corridor between the Eurasian continent and Africa.
Currently, the management of JSC KTZ Express - KTZE West is working with representatives of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt to develop traffic in this direction and increase the flow of goods. The major ports of Egypt are seen as gateways to the African countries.
