Iranian lawmakers have approved a bill related to Iran and Afghanistan agreement on railway cooperation, Trend reported via IRNA.
The members of the parliament voted in favor of the international railway cooperation bill.
"Afghanistan's import from Iran is about $3 billion, and the trade volume needs to be increased by considering transportation via railway," said Iranian MP Kamal Alipour.
"Transportation via railway will boost production and employment," he said,.
Alipour pointed out that Iran shouldn't leave the market in Afghanistan.
