Russian GAZ Group will study the organization of the production of light commercial and medium-duty GAZ vehicles in Tashkent region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of GAZ Group.
Russian GAZ Group and the government of the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of cooperation, within the framework of which the parties will work on organizing the production of vehicles.
Also, the parties intend to develop a comprehensive transport solution based on the GAZ Group technology for updating the vehicle parks of the region, including cars for housing and communal services, social and medical spheres, urban and suburban passenger transportation, for small and medium-size businesses.
According to the terms of the memorandum, it is also planned to develop modern digital online transport fleet management systems for their implementation in ambulances, social and communal services of the Tashkent region.
At the same time, the group clarified that Uzbekistan is traditionally one of the key GAZ markets, and a significant share of the supply of GAZ vehicles to the republic falls on the Tashkent region.
